Cast and Creative

PETER OSBORNE is a two-year senior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major. He is extremely excited to be a part of this student run production of Dog Sees God. He is a originally from Woodside, California a small town just south of San Francisco. Since coming to Interlochen Peter has been in productions such as Otto in Spring Awakening, Prince/Peter in The Secret in the Wings, and was also an actor in a student written show in the 2014 Theatre Student-Directed One-Act Festival. Other Previous roles include Joseph Merrick in Elephant Man, Tony Kirby in You Can't Take it With You, and Professor Jordan in The 39 Steps. Following his senior year he is hoping to continue his study of acting in either a BA or BFA program, and eventually wants to enter into the film industry. He would like to thank his parents, friends, and all of the teachers at Interlochen who have taught him an extraordinary amount.

CLARA HONIGBERG is a two-year sophomore at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major, from Washington, D.C. The previous shows she has appeared in are Willy Wonka, Alice in Wonderland, Once Upon A Mattress, West Side Story, and Hairspray. She was also the Assistant Stage Manager of Coriolanus last year. When she was in D.C, she was part of the Children’s Chorus of Washington D.C for two years. She started liking theater when she was in fifth grade and got the opportunity to be in small Shakespeare production of Hamlet. She was cast as Hamlet, which brought out her love for Shakespeare. She decided to go to Interlochen Arts Academy for high school as a freshman theater major and she is now in her sophomore year there. She also has a loving sister, two obese cats, and a playful dog.

RILEY WARMOTH is a three-year senior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major, most recently performing as Voynitsev in the Academy's production of Platonov by Anton Chekhov. His training at Interlochen consists of performance from classical and contemporary texts. He has also founded a theatre program in his hometown aimed towards middle school students. Apart of which he has directed Guys and Dolls Jr. He is also the founder of Interlochen Arts Academy's Playwriting Club.

SHANNON BURKE is a four-year senior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major, originally from Boca Raton, Florida. He has always enjoyed acting and is thrilled to be a part of this incredible ensemble. He has played roles such as Anton in A Departure (A devised piece conceived by Gulshirin Dubash) and Triletsky in Anton Chekhov's Platonov. He would like to thank his mother and his step-mom for supporting his choice to be a performing artist. He also enjoys running, lifting weights, and performing stand-up comedy.

YONI WEISS is a second-year junior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major. He attended Interlochen Arts Camp in 2013, where he performed in Oklahoma! Some of his favorite credits include Isaac in Platonov, Keyboard 2/u/s Otto in Spring Awakening, Eugene in Brighton Beach Memoirs, Fagin in Oliver!, Man in Chair in The Drowsy Chaperone, the oral interpretation project Grimm’s Fairy Tales, and the world premiere of Chisa Hutchinson’s Somebody's Daughter. He enjoys playing piano, writing, and Peanut M&Ms. He would like to thank everyone in his life for making him who he is today, and extends his thanks specifically to those who helped make this production happen. He is so happy to be surrounded by such wonderful people, especially his co-producer Mark. Lots and lots and lots of love.

AIDEN ANKLI is a three-year senior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major. She began participating in theatre at age 8 and has since then fallen in love with the art form. Aiden will continue to pursue theatre after Interlochen if/when she finishes her common app. Past roles include Sophia in Platonov, Cinderella in Into the Woods, and Thea in Spring Awakening. In addition to theatre, Aiden enjoys relieving her stress by coloring and eating ice cream.

MADELINE (MADI) BOVERI is a second-year junior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major, and she attended Interlochen Arts Camp in 2013. She is thrilled to be a part of Dog Sees God. Last year she Assistant Stage Managed Spring Awakening and Stage Managed Into the Woods. She was also featured in the oral interpretation project, Grimm's Fairy Tales. Her favorite roles include Mae Peterson in Bye Bye Birdie, Annie in Annie, Winthrop in The Music Man and The Sour Kangaroo in Seussical. She would like to thank Yoni Weiss and Mark Mazzarella for the wonderful opportunity and her family for their love and support.

KATHLEEN TAYLOR is a three-year senior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major, originally from North Carolina. Since coming to the academy as a sophomore, she has performed roles such as The Tour Guide in Middletown, Cinderella’s Mother in Into the Woods, and the Judge in the original devised work A Departure. Other favorite roles of hers include Berthe in Pippin and Mrs. Lyons in Blood Brothers with the Actors Conservatory Theatre of Gastonia, North Carolina. She is elated to add this production to the list of many wonderful projects she will be participating in during her final year as a high school student. She wishes to thank Yoni Weiss and Mark Mazzarella for dreaming big and having the guts to try something new, and her family, for supporting her in all her wild endeavors.

HARPER HODGSON is a first-year junior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major from Chesterfield, Michigan. Some of her favorite past roles include Marian Paroo in The Music Man, Lily Craven in The Secret Garden and Meg in Little Women. She attended Interlochen Arts camp this past summer. Here at Interlochen Arts Academy she has been a part of the run crew for Platonov and is in the cast of the upcoming The King and I. She is elated to be working on this show with such a delightful cast and crew, especially because its for such a good cause.

DRAKE GEORGE is a freshman at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major. He is very excited to be a part of Dog Sees God. Some of the shows he’s done in the past are A Christmas Carol as Fred, James and The Giant Peach as Narrator 1. His freshman year at Interlochen has been a blast with being a part of, The Secret In The Wings as an Assistant Stage Manager, The 2015 Theatre Student-Directed One-Act Festival as a stage manager and a role in two of them. He would like to thank his family and friends for being so supportive of him.

 

MARK MAZZARELLA is a three-year junior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major. He is an accomplished singer and guitarist, and recently played Guitar 1 for Spring Awakening. His professional credits include Assistant Stage Manager for Twelfth Night (Island Stage Left Theatre), Curtis in The Taming of the Shrew (Island Stage Left Theatre) and Fairy in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Island Stage Left Theatre). He also recently had his Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut as Kevin Jackson in Sonnets for an Old Century directed by Bill Church, done through the American High School Theatre Festival. This is his first time directing a full length play, and he would like to thank Bill Church, who helped enormously along the way of making this show a reality, as well as his wonderful co-producer Yoni Weiss, and the entire incredible cast and crew.

DANIEL FENDER is a four-year senior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major, who concentrates his study in stage management and acting while also maintaining a strong interest in devised political theatre. Daniel is thrilled to be a collaborator in this incredible ensemble and would like to thank his friends, Mom/Dad, Zach and Mary, Mrs. Gaede, and the theatre department faculty for their never ending love and support. Previous stage management credits include: The Secret in the Wings, Blood Wedding, I Perform For, and assistant stage manager for The 39 Steps.

CHARLOTTE GRUMAN is a four-year senior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Design and Production major, focusing in Stage Management and hoping to pursue her interest in film. Her credits include Stage Manager of PlatonovThe K of DOthelloThe Theatre Student-Directed One-Act Festival, Assistant Stage Manager of Julius Caesar, and Master Carpenter for the film Blue: The Voyage of Carpe Diem. Recently she worked at The Frick Collection in New York City for the opening of Summer Nights at the Frick as Designer's Assistant and went to The Edinburgh Festival Fringe as the Stage Manager for Sonnets for an Old Century. Charlotte spent her childhood in Singapore, and hopes to return there after her time at Interlochen.

SACHA INOUE is a three-year junior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Design and Production major, from Tokyo, Japan. They have constructed and painted the sets for Coriolanus, Spring Awakening, Into The Woods and more set, costume and props work outside of theatre. In their spare time, Sacha enjoys dressing up as cartoon characters, playing video-games and snowboarding. Sacha’s incredibly excited to be able to design their first set and is excited to work with such a creative design team and actors.

JACQUELINE VUNDLA is a 1.5-year senior (which makes her original) at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major, and hails from Johannesburg, South Africa. She has performed in GreaseHairsprayRentThe Love of Don Perlimplin and Belisa in the Garden, and The Secret in the Wings. She plans on going to university on the east coast but she may end up in London. She is super duper grateful that Yoni and Mark have trusted her for this position, and hopes that she made them proud.

JULIA STEENSTRA is a two-year junior at Interlochen Arts Academy as a Theatre major. She is originally from Gainesville, Virginia. Several roles she is proud of are Mrs. Paroo in The Music Man, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Rose in an independent student project. She has light designed for several projects including the independent project “To Hold”, and assistant light designed on Into the Woods last spring. She would like to thank her friends and her family for supporting her in continuing this art. She would also like to thank the cast and crew of this production for being such great coworkers and friends.
